Good read and that's great to hear! I'd hate to see the dynamic duo of St Louis and Stamkos broken up while they're performing as well as they are! |

Thank you, and I agree with your point! Obviously I don't know, but I'd have to imagine that watching Stamkos/St. Louis is pretty entertaining even for folks who don't cheer for the Lightning. I know I get a thrill out of watching Malkin and Crosby do their thing on regular basis. |

Weird, I never read anything about him going to Detroit but given Yzerman's history with the Wings and Detroit might be in the market for a top 6 forward, I guess I can see why some people might link them.
Personally I do like Marty but I don't see the Wings as a true contender this year so trading for him would not be a good idea. I would prefer if they were sellers instead and get rid of some older players not named Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Kronwall and Franzen and some of the UFA's to be with no future in Detroit. With a good draft coming and the crazy prices of the deadline, it would be nice to add more picks for the Wings. |

I think it was The Fourth Period that brought up the Wings.

You may trade a pending UFA for salary even if it's a captain but you never trade away the heart and soul of a team. |

Other then Malone, Yzerman will stand pat. Goaltending, Defense and offense are all strong and now with a coach willing to try different things, we will see an improvement. |

Why isn't Marty the captain? I know he is a great. Player and I love watching him but why doesn't he have the "C"? He must not be. That. Great of a leader. #4. Must bully. The little guy |

Lindback has greatly improved, our defense is good, and our offense are scoring machines. Garon and the goalie coach are the problem. I am satisfied with what Mr. Yzerman has done and we will be back in playoff contention if not this year then next. |

i agree man..lindback will be so good..and he would be great if we had a better goalie coach...i say better and not good because if he wasnt good he wouldnt be a NHL goalie coach, right? but lindback definately is great..and i hope he is not ruined in tampa bay because he cant get the right coaching and developement here...
if marty was traded i'd find it tough to motivate myself to watch tampa bay play, it would be even weirder to see him gone then jarome iginla in a pens jersey.. |

Inside the room he's more of a co-captain with Vinny than some secondary guy. He's a leader, and a great one at that. |

Being an bumhole all the time is getting old. I would like to see Malone come off the cap and Frantz Jean gone, but other then that I am satisfied that Yzerman has the fans best interests at heart without sacrificing the teams future on knee-jerk moves. |

So he'll probably get the last 3 games or so? |

Perhaps. Might reason to grab Nabokov or someone like that in the meantime. Garon can't hold the fort. That much we know. |

Crap thought he'd be skating next week and then ready.Garons head is not in it. Play Cedrick get him some ice time , teach him to stand up and not flop around so much and he'd be a better choice than Garon but Coop already said he's staying with Garon, we have to score five goals a game to be in any games now. He's gone to the Roloson school of retirement already. |

Nabokov isn't going anywhere. Islanders are still in the hunt for a playoff spot. |

Well next week is the start of April, so I expect him to be on the ice. Then he'll be ready for game action in a couple weeks. |

I’m just glad my gut was wrong. As long as they finish strong I’m happy. Trading Marty would be a sin, especially to Detroit or Boston who are going to be in our division next year with time left on his contract. That would be just torture having to watch him in someone else’s jersey live for 3 games a year in our house. |
